Most procedures take between 90 and 180 minutes under general anaesthesia or deep sedation.
With the closed technique (no external access) there are no visible scars. With the open technique, the small scar on the columella is virtually invisible by month 3.
80–90% of the result is visible at 3 months. The final result is reached between 9 and 12 months post-op.
Post-operative discomfort is very manageable with standard analgesia. The ultrasonic technique significantly reduces pain compared to conventional techniques.
